Hello. if you don’t know me already, my name is Patricia and I am a wedding photographer. Over the course of the last 5+ years of photographing weddings, I’ve seen lots of different and unique wedding details and ceremonies, and also a lot of the same over and over. It’s probably one of the top reasons I love being a wedding photographer – two people, coming together and meshing their styles and ideas for one really great celebration of their love. The more unique the better. This couple chose to marry under a willow tree in a family friends backyard and I knew I would love every bit of it before I even got there (because who doesn’t love willow trees??) One detail that I thought was especially great was instead of a unity candle, or unity sand, the couple clipped part of the willow tree (a willow tree that was actually originally clipped and grown from a grandparents tree) so that they together could plant a new willow tree as a symbol of their coming together in love. The other thing I admired about this wedding was the rain! Yes the rain! I LOVE when couples are willing to risk a little rain for the perfect setting for their wedding day. There were umbrellas and no one’s hair was especially fabulous (except for the brides) but the day was full of love and fun and really, I don’t think anyone cared about the rain. My favorite kind of wedding. Here are my favorite moments of the day! Take a look. :)

I shot this wedding as a second shooter for the great Maureen Cassidy! Thanks again Maureen for having me along! It’s so much fun to fill in my weekends off by shooting with you. These images are just some of my favorites. If you’re interested in seeing full weddings from me as you consider who to hire for your wedding, please shoot me a email and I’ll get you a link. I’m currently still booking 2015 weddings and also starting to accept 2016 weddings as well. Looking forward to hearing from you! patricia@rejoyphotography.com
